We are excited to invite you to sponsor the 2024 Summer Manufacturing Institute (SMI) Camp! SMI stands for "Summer Manufacturing Institute," a series of STEM-to-career summer camps designed for 5th and 6th-grade students. The camp aims to provide young learners an immersive experience highlighting the connections between STEM concepts and exciting, in-demand manufacturing careers.

During the SMI Camp, students will engage in various activities and experiences that will broaden their understanding of the manufacturing industry and its potential career paths. Through hands-on projects, interactive workshops, and field trips, campers can explore the fascinating world of manufacturing and gain valuable skills and knowledge.

Our camp curriculum is carefully crafted to ensure an engaging and educational experience for all participants. Campers will work on exciting projects that involve problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. They will be exposed to real-world manufacturing challenges and learn from industry experts who will share their insights and experiences. Additionally, students will have the unique opportunity to tour local manufacturing facilities, witnessing the cutting-edge technologies and processes used in modern manufacturing.

Hours of Operation: The SMI Camp operates from Monday to Thursday, from 9 am to 3 pm. On Fridays, we have a special luncheon at AWT from 11 am to 12 pm, where parents, donors, and staff can gather to witness and celebrate the knowledge and skills the campers have acquired throughout the week.
